SECRET Information on What The Tampa Bay Rays Want from Pinellas County Taxpayers

Image

In a workshop today, Chairman of the Pinellas County Commission Chairperson Janet Long stated that the Tampa Bay Rays are expecting $600,000,000 from taxpayers to fund their new stadium.

As she was about to say the number, the county administrator saw it coming and started to interject before she said the previously undisclosed amount.

The issue will be before the county commission in August for review and a potential vote.

SIX HUNDRED MILLION DOLLARS.  That's the number.

This is the same county commission that during the pandemic raised taxes while you were on a forced lock down in your homes, and then took 100% of the tax increase money and put it into the county's savings account.  They didn't need the money, but took the money from you while your businesses were closed, and moved it from your bank account to theirs.

We are calling on the Pinellas County Commission to roll back the millage rates with a full rollback to pre-pandemic tax rates.  If you want to make your voice heard on this $600,000,000 planned spend of your tax money, please come to the next Pinellas County Commission meeting and address your public servant employee commissioners during public participation at the beginning of their meeting.  Next week, Tuesday July 18th at 2PM.  5th Floor Assembly Room, Pinellas County Courthouse

315 Court St, 5th Floor
Clearwater , FL 33756 United States

If you can't attend the meeting in person, you can email them here :

Check the checkbox for all of the county commissioners names, and then add your comments at the bottom.

If you need a suggested message, simply state

1.  I am opposed to you spending $600,000,000 of taxpayer money to build the privately held Tampa Bay Rays a new stadium and

2.  I am asking for a full rollback of the millage tax rates to a pre-pandemic level

Your chance to be heard is NOW before they vote on this.  Once they spend your money, it's gone forever.  Please take action TODAY.
