Originally known as Decoration Day, Memorial Day honors fallen soldiers. Many Americans observe Memorial Day by visiting cemeteries or memorials, holding family gatherings and participating in parades. The following are a few ways the Tampa Bay area will mark the holiday, which is on May 29 this year.
