Land O’ Lakes Florida Football Coaching Staff Suspended

The Pasco County School District has temporarily suspended the football coaching staff of Land O’ Lakes High School from their duties effective immediately, due to allegations of a fight that occurred in the team locker room post-practice on Monday the 21st. Additionally, all Land O Lakes High School football operations have been put on hold temporarily pending a thorough investigation. This includes all practices, on-campus conditioning, and games until further notice.

We are deeply concerned about the safety and well-being of our students and take these allegations seriously. We assure parents, students, and the community that we are taking the necessary steps to address the situation.

Further information will be provided as the investigation progresses.

On Tuesday, the district chose to cancel all games and practices indefinitely while they investigate the situation, meaning the JV and varsity's season kick off games against River Ridge High School this week, won't be happening.  The Land O' Lakes Gators become the second football program in the last few days to be suspended due to a player incident as Viera High School halted football activities this past weekend.  The Viera Hawks relieved the duties of head coach Shane Staples due to an alleged hazing incident that took place at the school. Staples is displaced as head coach until an investigation is completed on what took place at Viera.
