Safety Harbor Author Vlad Sopov Named Finalist in 2026 Next Generation Indie Book Awards
SAFETY HARBOR, Fla. — Vlad Sopov, a Safety Harbor-based marketing technology strategist and author, has been named a Finalist in the 2026 Next Generation Indie Book Awards in the Business category for his debut book, "Take the Wheel: How to Influence Anyone and Be the Leader People Want to Follow."
The Next Generation Indie Book Awards is a national award recognizing independently published books across a wide range of categories. Sopov attended the awards reception in June at the Newberry Library in Chicago to receive his medal.
"Take the Wheel" was self-published through Sopov's own imprint, Sopov Media, and explores ownership, influence, and leadership without relying on formal authority or title. Sopov drew on his own career, including his immigration to the United States from Moldova in 2010 and his subsequent path through web development and marketing technology leadership roles, to write the book.
